Arrival in Bali [English]

Salam!!

Welcome everybody to our travel blog! The blog is sometimes going to be written in English, sometimes in French, and then at other times in Dutch. So probably if you receive two messages at least one of them you will be able to understand! 😉

So, as you may or may not know, we left last Tuesday for a trip of three months trough South-East Asia! After traveling about 33 hours, transferring in Doha and Singapore, we finally arrived in Bali!! And Sir Alex Ferguson was with us in the first plane actually. Sitting economy class (pretty cool), wearing sneakers, shorts, a 5 euro nike shirt he looked more like simple white trash than the coach of ManU! Completely broken, we arrived here but the next day we managed to find a nice laid-back "cottage" in Kuta. We took out some time to find the hostel today, but by the end of the day we were able to catch our first waves. Although we stood only one second, it was great to be back on a board! Other than that Kuta is very touristy and everybody wants to sell you something so that's quite annoying (then again, we got some REAL raybans for 4 euros!).

We are planning to stay another day or two here, mainly because we want those simple waves to learn how to surf. Then we will travel further in Bali. We have absolutely no clue where the hell we are going but I guess by the time we are sick of all the poachers in Kuta we will know!

We don't know how to say bye yet in Indonesian but that we will keep for next time! 😉
