Pat and I wearing a bindi and flower garland
Hi everyone,

Up at 5.30 am and on train to Agra by 8.10am. Arrived in Agra mid morning. We were welcomed to the hotel with a flower garland and a bindi each. Pat was so pleased lol.The afternoon took us to Agra Fort which was delightful then on to the Taj Mahal. The building is so impressive. It is both beautiful and architecturally spectacular. I refrained from reproducing the iconic Diana pose on the bench in front of the Taj Mahal much to Pats relief. Once again our celebrity status found us being the centre of attention for many photos taken with Indian strangers. We even managed to hijack a photo with an entire Indian family which I have to warn our children we are now part of Ha ha. We have seen many cows in many locations today. They just walk down the busy streets as if they own them. Then we saw groups of monkeys and I was forced into feeding a squirrel by a man who gave me the required biscuit crumbs then demanded “ good tip”. Oh well it was different. Unfortunately we did not see the sun set over the Taj Mahal as it

Pat refuses to wear his so no swimming for him lol
began to rain. Never mind.

Once back at the hotel we saw a rather lack luster Indian dance being performed .next we went to see the finger puppet display. On strings. Oh dear this was a move Pat would live to regret. Two bothers aged about 12 and 15 made Pat put down his camera( no it didn’t get stollen) much worse than that, they proceeded to wind a turban around his head. I couldn’t stop laughing as it had been a wish of mine before the holiday to try and get him wearing one. He then had to sit and watch a quick and very amateur performance ending as usual with the request for money. ( it was worth every rupee ?) .i do have evidence but in the form of a very poor grainy photo .ok...I’ll show you that. Anyway moving on Tom so will try to speak then . Jane
