We're now in Jodhpur after skipping Japiur...heard it was another hectic, congested city and after Delhi and Agra we couldn't face another straight away. The journey was fun though.... We got a second class sleeper train from Agra to Japiur, which was crammed, very smelly and had nowhere to sleep. We headed straight for the tourist office when we arrived at 11.30pm to see how fast we could leave. The ex-army major (now village farmer who invited us several times to go and visit him) managed to get us tickets for a train that left at 2am, but without specific seats, so once we were on board we had to find the conductor and pay him a bribe to get beds! Would have been 5 hours uninterupted sleep had it not been for 5 guys wondering up and down the carriage shouting "Coffee chai, chai coffee".
Jodhpur is a lot nicer than Agra and Delhi and we're in a great guest house with a lovely rooftop restaurant. We visited the fort this morning which is very impressive and we've both had reflexology this afternoon so we're feeling happy and relaxed.
Tomorrow night we'll get the overnight train to Jaisalmer where we'll

we can't quite get the grimness across in this picture stay for a couple of nights and do a camel trek with a night in the desert.
Anna - the food's been great! My favourite so far has been Kashmiri Dam Aloo which was Rs50 (about 60p)
David says eating curry 30 days in a row (washed down with plenty Kingfisher pls) is not only going to be a breeze but at these prices it's going to be an absolute pleasure!
Attached are photos from the past week

Green....
yep, I'm getting greener by the minute, sounds fantastic. Wouldn't fancy sharing a room with Mr Mills after 30 days of currys, mind! Actually you're probably both as bad. Cheers gav
