Up early for 8am departure to tour Jodhpur. Visit white marble mosque, Jaswat Thada. Stunning marble with view to Fort, shoes off.

Then to Merangah (Majestic) Fort, up the lift to upper palaces with stunning chambers & rooms. Most chambers are original or renovated, so stunning. Plenty to see including pinjas (elephant saddles) & parasanes (seats carried for royalty). Built around 1460 by Rao Jodha, the fort is situated 410 feet above the city and is enclosed by imposing thick walls. We found this fort the best we have visited mostly because the rooms were so lavish and had plenty of original furniture & features.

Then to quick lunch, pizza & fries, Rob still taking it easy. After lunch visited a Textile warehouse, exquisite bed coverings & scarves. Purchased some Doona Covers here for shipping home.

Then exciting (bit scary) tuk tuk ride into town for bazaar, amazing place where anything is sold, from veg to clothing. Walked around the bazaar, real busy with sounds, sights & smells all around. Enjoyed this experience, plus tuk tuk ride.Back to hotel for dinner & bed, early depart for Udaipur tomorrow.
