1: Qutb Minar Delhi 24 secs
Quite an early start at 9am. Thought the man wasn't coming but he had just been delayed by a crash on the road - not involving him!

Went by the parliament and MoD buildings then went to visit Humayans Tomb which had nice gardens and lots of tombs, including Humayan's barber. There was lots of black and white marble - as informed by the grounds person who then demanded money for passing on this information, resulting in us having to run away.

Then went to the first mosque built which had a very hight tower - but not as high as it used to be. We couldn't go up as it is now closed due to falling school children. Sat down under a shady tree for a bit and called over one of the chipmonks who I named Eddie - very cute.

Today saw our first public toilet use - not too bad. But when we came out the guy with the key wanted money from us but we still don't know what we are expected to do/give, so again we ran away.

Had some nice lunch in a wee restaurant before heading to the Lotus Temple

- a Bahai worship hall. This is a more modern building with 9 lakes around it. We had to be silent inside the prayer hall.

Then had second public toilet use - and first eastern toilet use - again not too bad and could have been a lot worse.

After the Lotus Temple we were dropped off at the station to catch the train to Amritsar. The train was 30m late arriving and nearly an hour late setting off, but was nice, roomy and had a/c. They kept feeding us and it was very tasty, especially the high tea dessert - sloan cake?

When we arrived we managed to find the man from the hotel no bother but seemed to wander around outside with him for a while. He was finding a rickshaw big enough for the 3 of us and 3 other guys who seemed to just jump in too. Bit odd. Turns out the hotel was literally just across the road and we got checked in fine. They had been a bit worried due to our late arrival. Decided to ring Ajanta Hotel back in Delhi to let them know we wouldn't be staying tonight,

As we look around this guy starts talking to Sarah
incase they noticed we had not come back and then worried, especially as we wouldn't be back until late the next night. Was a bit tricky on the phone trying to explain, but we got there eventually and then went to our room which was nice. Watched a little TV before going to bed.

General thoughts for today
