Hello everybody

I am finaly in India. We arrived here on the 12th of november. The plane trip was 14 hours all up with a stop over at singapore after 8hours! The plane trip was realy fun because you could watch movies listen to music and go on the internet!!!! On the downside anjali only slept for about 2 hours the whole time. That was because of turbulance on the first flight and we didnt have a bassanet on the second flight. When we got into the indian airport we had to que up for about an hour for the immigration and customs officers to approve our passports. Getting our luggage was another thing!!!! There were so many people trying to get their luggage that they even pushed me over to get through!! After about 2 hours at the airport we were finaly on our way. As soon as we got outside the airport i noticed a big cloud of pollution in the air...how disgusting i thought but i am used to it now. As we were driving on the CRAZY and i meen CRAZY indian roads i saw many things that you wouldn't see in australia. I saw cows in the middle of the road, i saw goats pulling carts of food and materials, i saw many people sleeping on the side of the road in small huts and the one thing that amazed me as we drove from Amritsar to Punjab was how many people were in 1 car at once! We saw up to 10 or 11 people in 1 buggie at one stage! Imagine that in Australia you would have a massive fine and lose your license but in india people don't even hav licenses! The roadrage here is stupid! You can change lanes whenever you like without indicating, you can beep your horn freely (which everybody does!!), you can drive anything on the road that has wheels, you can walk on the road and you can drive on the wrong side of the road!! When mum an i went driving yesterday we almost died at how restless they are when they drive!! When we got to the house in Punjab we went straight to bed because we were so tired! The next morning i woke up at 10:30 am and i tried their chocolate cereal. YUK YUK YUK. They eat it with HOT milk and the chocolate tastes like coffe. It was so bad i couldn't eat it so i ended up having toast. They have 5 buffalo here and they use buffalo milk instead of cow milk and rani (jas' sister) used buffalo cheese.....YUK YUK YUK! It was so bad that i didn't have any breakfast that day. For the rest of the day Jas, Anjali and Mum slept while i watched dishtv (foxtel) The food here is very....um.....different. I am missing home alot but i will get over it soon. The next day we went to Janandah half an hour away from Punjab to do some shopping. Mum and i both got an Indian suit ( traditional indian clothing). Gurjeet (jas' brother) paid for them because we hadn't exchanged our money yet. The traffic in Janandah was horrendus! We had luch at an indian resturant called 'CRAZY food...yam yam yumee! What a crazy name. I went to bed at 7:00 because i still had a bit of jetlag. I am glad i went to bed early because this morning i found out we had eggplant mash with chapati's (an indian bread) for dinner! YUK YUK YUK!! Well i am having heaps of fun and i can't wait to see you all. Next time i put in an entry i will down load some of the photo's we have taken so you can see india! Well have a great day, bye for now

REBEKAH IN INDIA!
