Delhi Airport
Jade's first experience of IndiaJust a quickie cos its been a very long day!
Me and jade here grinning as we started off with a very wonky plane that didnt seem to want to go anywhere! 45 minutes late and lots of banging sounds later we took off, odd noise part of the way and then a very dodgy landing, think the pilot changed his mind about where to go when we touched down!
the airport pickup guy was elusive so after an hour we had to negotiate the taxi system at the airport - when we got here he was totally offended at our tip and told us to go!
Ventured down the road in a rickshaw with a wild driver who got pulled over by the traffic police, tried to bribe the police but people were watching so a bit heated! Then through the touting rituals - bloody pain and took us ages to get rid of them.
Lee, send us a tee shirt saying We like dirty shoes, we dont want our ears cleaned, no rickshaw and we dont want to buy a head massager either!!
Bit stressful but very good overall

Freezing Hotel
The hotel was so cold we had to sleep with all our clothes on! FROM DELHI XXX

Glad to hear you 'landed' ok. You will be pleased to know that its snowing here yet again. Have a well earned rest now, then a nice cup of tea and head off on a mule ride or whatever it is you ride there !! Hi too to Jade, dont let Cath get too excited as I know she is probably like a kid in a sweet shop right now. Happy New Year to you both, wish I could be there too xxxxxx
