What an amazing day...we spent all day with a group of 30 kids from about 3 to 5 year olds..A few with special needs (you know me I'm always seeking that out) and disabilities. The director was very grateful to get all the items. Thought we took to many pencils, Texas and crayons but when we saw what they had, they will be stocked up for a while.. As we walked to the room we heard beautiful singing voices , Old McDonald. After a few more songs it was our turn. A few only could say a few words in English and same with staff so it was a bit difficult with communication. Just before lunch they all had a check-up from a nurse. It was time for me now to hold back my tears when we went to their room and that's where we ate lunch sitting on the floor. The staff were really shocked and kept wanting to get us chairs but we wanted to sit on the floor... A bit shocked by their daily routine up at 5.30 (which is fine by me) but bed at 9.30.. Seen 3 babies that would have only been a few months if that ..Peter took one of the children into the hospital area and was in shocked, can't get it out of his head. All in all a fantastic day and can't wait till tomorrow....
