Elaphanta island is an hour boat ride one way. You get on at the gateway of India next to the Taj hotel. The island has a series of Hindu carved caves that date back to the 1st century (Crazy). We spent a couple of hours walking around in and out of the caves. I got busted standing in a cave with the shrine to Shiva with my shoes on.. should have got the guided tour. There was heaps of naughty monkeys stealing peoples drinks and food. I saw one steal a guys bag and he just grabbed it back before it took off down the cliff. The carvings were really beautiful it must have taken a LONG time to do.

Wowzers chiefs!! Looks like your having lots of fun travelling the lands of beyond the thunder dome. Hope that you both had a fun new years, we had a little do at home.
