As our month in India draws to an end we cannot believe how quickly the time has passed but we are looking forward to the antipodean leg of our journey. Having secured a rental on our property from November 3rd we are escaping to the Southern hemisphere for 6 months. Matt is taking us and our back packs to Kate and Martyn's home in Nottingham for a family celebration inc fireworks! On November 6th we fly to Hanoi in Vietnam via a night in Bangkok. Iain and I planned this a couple of months back but only found tenants a couple of weeks ago so it's been manic, booking landlord insurance, travel ins, having innoculations against everything!! Our driver Hoshiar reckoned he spotted a tiger from the top of the fort at Ranthambhore. A prize to anyone who can ring the tiger!

The Golden Temple at Amritsar

Sunday afternoon found the temple grounds full of Sikh families who were so welcoming and friendly. Many spoke good english and were keen to chat, and photograph us!

Hi to you both. Great to get your blogs and loads of photo's; I like the one on Diana's seat - very appropriate with Valentine's day approaching! Make sure you get plenty of both of you together on the rest of your travels. India looks beautiful and very diverse. I heard you were dropping in to Bill and Astrid's in Singapore - have fun. Michael gets home on 10th April, not long now. safe travelling. xx
