So yesterday we finally walked for 6 hours, and ended up at a slightly lower altitude than at the start: 3300m. As you could see we walked along a "road", I mean it's more like a dirt-road-track, but a road never the less. In fact, the Indian government is building a road to connect Ladakh and Zanskar and eventually Himashal Pradesh, but they're far from finished. More on this later.

But practically, this means that for the first 2-3 days we're walking along that road; and we did see a couple of cars but not more. Some times we also could walk away from the road on the old trail, but then you have to be careful not to get lost...

Today we're walking for about 5 hours and we'll camp at 3900m, so it's starting to go up. We're short breathed because of the altitude and because of the beautiful scenery!

We're tired when we arrive at the camping, but you won't deny, there are worse places to camp....
