Day 7 - fnd February 2010 - Che Kung Temple & Shopping

We started our day by visiting Che Kung Temple in Sha Tin (part of the new territories).
Took a taxi and 3 trains to get there. It is the largest temple in HK but I thought not very impressive.
Then caught 4 trains to Sham Shui Po. I had heard that it it is great shopping street and market. The exporters all sell their overruns and seconds there.
We didn't like the area at all. Faye equated it to the manufacturing areas of Redfern. Very old, not clean like the rest of Hong Kong.
Faye bought a few things, but Shan & I weren't impressed.
We headed back to the hotel for a rest as my back was seizing up. We had yum cha across the road before going for a lay down. It was nice at the Hoover Restaurant.
After an hour we caught the hotel shuttle to Sneaker Street & ladies Market for MORE shopping.
Got a pair of joggers, some things for Erin & Jamie & some gifts. Still trying to work out what o get Ratko, I am running out of time! Still don't have anything off my list. Want a digital frame, there aren't many here at all. And can't find a netbook bag!! There are tons on ebay from Hong Kong!
Got back to the hotrel at 10pm, bought some BBQ meats from a little restaurant 2 doors down, really nice BBQ pork and roast pork.
Off for more shopping and then packing and check out at 3pm. Shuttle comes at 4.10. Arrive home Thursday morning 8.10am. Will update then
