We made it to Hong Kong and we are thrilled! This place is buzzing with humanity from all over the world. Lots of energy in the streets. The skyline is simply breathtaking. We have been using public transport and that is an experience all it's own. The double decker buses speeding along cliff side roads is thrilling, especially when you are seated on the top deck. We are staying at the YMCA in Kowloon, with a spectacular view of the Harbour and Hong Kong Is. We even get an amazing laser light show every night at 8pm.
After checking out the Hong Kong Museum of History, we went across to Hong Kong Island where we hooked up for lunch with Vivienne and Iris, who are business associates of former Bulimba neighbor Dan Sullivan (hi Allison and kids). We took the Star Ferry across Victoria Harbour to Hong Kong Island, where we had the best Dim Sum ever at the Golden Buhenia - We reckon that was the best Chinese food Cel and I have ever had. Even the kids really enjoyed it. After lunch and seeing where Vivienne's office was, we went on a mini-bus to Stanley Market to
do some shopping.
