Day 9.

Scott too ill with altitude sickness to venture out. Everyone else went to the Potala Palace in the centre of Lhasa. There were about 100 people dancing to Tibetan music outside the Palace.

Potala Palace is situated at the centre of Lhasa and a vey impressive building. Steps zigzag'd up to the top, with good view over the city.

The Palace was full of buddhas and Lamas. The group tried Yak milk tea in a tea house nearby.

Scott Oxygenated himself and joined everyone for the afternoon. Walked around the old part of town around the Palace that was full of eating houses and souvenir shops. Had dinner in the Potala Palace grounds and saw the palace lit up at night.
