As the title suggests...a party on an aircraft carrier. Now who wouldn't want to check this out?! I found out about the event via word of mouth from other travelers, and although pricey by Asian standards, a few of us got together and decided to go for it.

It was a two hour ride to nearby Tianjin, another Chinese super-city and the voyage was eventful. We all stocked up on some booze before boarding because it was gonna cost a fortune at the venue. Our group was all from Leo Hostel. It was Dale from Arizona, the Israeli Dude, a couple of British guys and of course myself. We got loaded up and met some others on the bus. Obviously we had to take a couple of piss breaks along the way. It was hilarious seeing everyone stumbling out and pissing right on the freeway, amidst trucks speeding by with their high beams flashing and honking deafeningly. One guy incessantly mooned the other bus everytime we passed them. By the end of the ride most were tipsy, only down side is we got there a little too early. Here's a list of some memorable moments...

8:30 PM: Arrive at the carrier, all whistle and exclaim "It's a carrier!"

8:40 PM: Expensive cars, Porches, Ferrari's, Masserati's, etc, are all parked beside the carrier. We take pictures.

9:00 PM: Since we've all pre-drank and as a result are pre-drunk, we excitedly run through the ship and check the areas out. Staff and security are everywhere.

9:30 PM: Israeli guy has smoked some weird shit and is passed out on the bottom deck. We all take funny photos with him.

10:00 PM: We begin dancing on the top deck and get pictures with choppers and fighter jets.

11:00 - 12:00 PM: Just a blur.

12:00 - 1:00 AM: I attempt some grind moves on a few ladies. I am met with resistance and disgust.

1:00 - 2:00 AM: One of the British guy's steals a few bottles of liqueur from one of the bars. He claims, like Robin Hood, he must steal from the rich and give to the backpackers.

2:30 AM: I am yelled at repeatedly to get off the fighter jet.

3:00 AM: Dale and I are tired and decide that we've had enough.

3:00 - 5:00 AM: Ride back to Tianjin, everyone else passes out, but I somehow regain energy and feel weird energy coursing through my legs.

5:30 AM: Make it to the hostel and pass out.

Pretty fun party, although the venue was a bit too large for the amount of people. Most of the music sucked too. I didn't really drink much once I was on the carrier cuz it was disgustingly expensive and I figured I had already paid enough to be there. I think we're all glad we went, and can forever say we partied on an aircraft carrier, in China no less.
