My Scarf
Isn't it awesome? Today was a normal day. I got up around noon because I ended up staying up really late last night... and by really late last night, I mean super early this morning. I got up and checked my email, and then I decided to go get something to eat.
I went to the crunchy rice place. I got sweet and sour pork because when Kyle and I got it yesterday it was so good that I wanted some more. I got it to go, and I came back to my apartment. On my way back I ran into Dillon and Daley. They said hello and told me they were going to get something out of Dillon's old dorm.
I ate, and then I realized I had nothing to drink, so I went to a store on campus and got a coke. I also bought some juice just in case I didn't have enough. Jessi sent a message and said that she would not be back in time to show the girls how to make bread, so if I wanted to wait til next week we could. I decided I could just do it, so she arranged for them to
come to my apartment about 2.
I got back and took a shower and cleaned up my apartment. I mostly just needed to clean off my coffee table because I usually just use it to pile things on. I also sent a message to Kyle and told him I needed to bust into Jessi's apartment at about 2:00. He sent one back asking what we would steal. I told him whatever he wanted.
I got ready just before 2, and I sent a message to Jession saying to meet me at Jessi's. I went on up. I told Kyle that I was doing something good - making bread - and he wanted to steal something. He said, "You're stealing bread." I couldn't argue with that.
It was successful, and the girls said it was easy. I cleaned up just a little before I came back down. I sent the girls on ahead because it was 2:30 when we finished.
We had a good time today. Jessi got there pretty late, and we had to share a chair because I didn't have enough for everyone.
Jessi brought back scarves from Melody for me and Kyle. Mine's
My Fish
That'd be the fish Julie put in my bowl and the stuff you're supposed to dip it in. super soft and purple. I like it. I'm excited to use it this winter.
I went with Julie, Sunny, and J & P to get a birthday cake. My student's birthday was today, and I wasn't sure what to do for her, so I got a cake. When I say "cake", it's not like a cake you would think of. I'm not really sure what it's made of.. It's funky. The icing isn't bad, but it's more like a whipped topping. Anyway, we got the cake, and then I had to run and get my camera because Sissi (the birthday girl) had asked me to bring it.
Julie and I went to meet everyone for dinner. We had fish hot pot. Yeah, I ate fish... and I didn't really like it. It wasn't the "draped across a plate looking at you" kind, but it still had all the bones and everything in it. Julie piled a ton in my bowl for me. I ate most of it. There was some kind of mysterious something on the table that no one knew how to say in English. I took a bite of it and wasn't impressed. It looked creepy.
Sissi
The Birthday Girl We did have lotus, but after being in the hot pot, it wasn't all that good.
We took pictures while we were waiting for the table to get cleaned off. I thought it was kind of funny that they all wanted to take pictures with me instead of everyone wanting to take pictures with the birthday girl. There were 2 other girls that didn't get in any pictures - one of them left, and the other one ended up taking all the pictures of the group.
We finally had cake at 7:30. I was supposed to be at Kyle's at 7, but I sent him a message that said I would probably be late. He said something about how he would take it out of my paycheck.. he's a weirdo. Sissi was super excited. She kissed me on the cheek. I thought it was cute. Julie took my camera and snapped pictures for me.
After dinner they all walked me home, which I thought was really nice. I sent Kyle a message asking if I should come up (it was 8:20 by this time). He said I could choose.. they were almost done. I just stayed down
Lindsey and Me
I named this girl. Her name was Connie, but someone told her it was an old lady's name. I just wrote a bunch of my friends' names on the board, and she picked Lindsey in my apartment.
I did some grading and listened to some music. It's after 1:00 am right now. I'm glad I don't have a morning class tomorrow. So that is my day. I thought you'd enjoy some pictures.
