On the bus to what we thought was Lushan. Gees i canned myself.
Chairman Mao, Chairman Mao, yaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaayaaaaaaaaaaaa.
Arrived in Beijing this morning at 6am. Yip it was snowing. So it is literally freezing here. A cool negative 3 celcius. Ryan and I deliberated for a good three days on where to head next after Yangshou we went to Guilin for the day which was quite pleasant. Met this stalker lady who was nice and showed us around, crashed in on some art classes, people laughed. And then we decided to go to Nanchang. Gees, we got off at the train station not anyone could mutter a word resembling English. My mastery of the Chinese language was far better than anyones english. We wondered around looking for a hotel. SO cold. Ended up saying screw it and caught a bus to what we thought was the small town of Lushan. But it ended up going to this massive city called Juisding where we were supposed to catch a connecting bus but they had all stopped. So we met this crazy lady who could sort of say hello and money and 'stay house me' so we stayed at her place for a couple of bucks in this huge apartment building by the station. I really

needed a shower and it turns out you have to pay 4 RMB for a shower which is in another building where all the residents in the area shower. Very enjoyable except that it was so cold out side. Tried to catch the bus the next day to Lushan. It was so so hard, and then this one girl who could talk a bit of eng simply said. "Don't go, its so cold, come back in the summer." Oh ok, sure. So by this time Ryan and I were so fed up with these interior cities and towns where we cannot communicate at all and a ticket for the next train to Beijing. We spent half the day standing by the heaters in the station and then the next 17 hours on a train to Beijing.
Ok, here is the problem with not doing the 'touristy' thing. You fricken struggle and get so frustrated. You really do. I am a patient man but I could not handle this. To buy a ticket, to get some food, to find a toilet, to find a place to sleep to wipe your ass is impossible when you just can't communicate at all. Also

here in China when you get to towns that are not frequented by foreigners you have to pay exorbitant prices for hotels bc these are only really used by businessmen.
I'll tell you all about this city next time.
Love to you all.
