Guilin, has limestone peaks reaching up to the sky, scattered amongst the town. We hired some bikes to explore and to reach the Reed Flute Caves in the west of the town. The Caves were awesome! We climbed one of the numerous peaks in the town.

I qualified as a teacher in 1997 and have been teaching ever since. Thoroughly enjoying my job, I took the first brave steps to having a career break. Selling my flat and minimalising my belongings and gradually throwing useful travelling things into my backpack ready for the first leg of the journey on Monday 23rd July. So the race is on, flat having a lick of paint and onto the market. Fingers crossed! I can't wait! I'm escaping daily routines to see the world (well most of the Far East anyway). ... full info
