I few flower beds and crops try to survive under the summer heat of the Gobi Desert, a few 100 feet from the Crescent Moon Spring, as a portion of the Mingsha Mountain looms in the background.

We now leave the Oasis of the Crescent Moon Spring and are on our way to meet a caravan of camels. I could not resist to take this last photo. It continues to be my hope, to re-visit this one-of-a-kind spot of nature.

We have just left an almost spiritual expience behind us, visiting the inspiring Crescent Moon Spring. Now let have some fun with the camels and sand of the Gobi Desert.

My transportation is patiently waiting, a beautiful and rare, white Camel. He/She (I did not check!!) seemed to wink at me, and I knew we were meant for each other.

The goal will be the very tip of Mingsha Sand-dune Mountain. It would be extremely difficult to reach the top without the help of these steps, and with them, it was still a challenge I will cherish.

This is as far as the camels can take us. The rest of the way to the tip of the sand dune, we accomplish on foot. I never realized how difficult it is to walk up a sand-dune.

The precious spring water must have quenched the thirst of many desert travellers? Baked under the blazing sun, the blooming sunflowers look almost orange-ish, so strong and full of life, much better than those in Van Gogh's paintings, I'd love to smell it! Feel warm when look at these boiling hot places, while shivering in the bitter could this Tuesday.
