PHOTO JOURNAL, PART 1: With the Mingsha Desert Mountains in the backgroud the clear Crescent Spring Moon Lake is named so for its shape. It has been sitting here, near Dunhuang, Gansu, PRC, perhaps for millions of years, never drying up.
