Sunday guesthouse down the street
After a 23 hour flight we slept most of the night and woke up to the unbearable heat and the noises of tuk tuks and chickens, and people...we ventured outside and were amazed to find a city full of life and lots of mopeds! Hardly anyone walking, only us two foreigners! We walked to the Russian Market and we felt overwhelmed by tuk tuks, cars, bycicles, motorbikes from all directions, and litter everywhere. Crossing the road was an extreme sport :-) It was very hot and crumped inside the market, we bought a couple of T-shirts and walked around for some more and decided to chill out at a restaurant where our exoctic culinary experience began. I had a lovely light soup with rice and Mark had a spicey beef with rice and of course, Angkor beer! We met some local Khmer dentists, had a few drinks with them and retired to bed.
