January 30

Learning from the two previous days we set out before dawn. Shuffling to the sounds of roosters and dogs barking non stop, the Cambodian eco-friendly alarm clock . Thankful to be all alone. The red road was to be ours for only a little bit of time...We have started to settle into the running and our bodies are getting into a rhythm. Today is the day we run to Koh Ker and get a chance to have a real bath (well a bucket bath) and sleep in a real bed.

Breakfast on the side of the road brings a surprise! Two people from the television channel France 2, based out of New Delhi (http://blog.france2.fr/bureau-inde-france2/index.php/Inde) decided to do a story on us, here we go! Nathalie is now a French movie star! They spent the day with us, filming and chatting. It was a challenge to run and talk besides, alongside, to and from the truck (and its diesel fumes) and the camera but it gave the day an interesting twist and the cameraman had a warped sense of humor. The production crew said that it will be shown in France around the 8th of February and will be online at the same time....check it out for some laughs! No Oscar nominations likely 😊

The temples of Koh Ker are amazing and a sight to see. We were pretty much alone (with the film crew following us of course) and we able to wander at our leisure. After lunch and a snooze it was back to the pre-run chores, a futile attempt to get the dirt and sweat out of the last two day's clothes and out for the last bit of running for the day. At sunset we called it a day and another 40km completed (yes we noticed the mileage decreasing too but it was freaking hot and well the 'movie star' needed a bath!

After cleaning up, another wonderful dinner prepared by Ms Alin. A couple of games of Jenga and it was off to bed, in a real bed with pure white sheets! Yeah we freaked a bit about ruining them with post mandy wash missed bits of red road dirt that now covers us on a daily basis.....
