Wstepnie zorientowalismy sie skad kazdego dnia odjezdzaja Pick Upy. Wieczoprem prezepakowalismy najwazniejsze rzeczy do malych pecakow, obejrzelismy Formule 1 i poszlismy spac. Nastepnego dnia pob udka o 5 rano. Zaplacilismy za hotel, zostawilismy duze plecaki w jakims magazynie na tydzien (chyba za darmo) i ruszylismy na piechote do targu, skad mialy odjezdzxac pick up... read more

April 12 - 16 It was an early morning to catch the transport bus to the actual bus station at 6:45am. My bus wasn't even there yet and it was suppose to leave at 7:15am but didn't actually head until 8:30. I was the only foreigner on the bus and it wasn't even full although the woman I bought the ticket from said I got the last ticket. Strange. The bus was not at all what the picture was on the ticket, just like the boat to Battambang. Ha. The ticket cost $11, one dollar more cause of the New Year and takes 10 hours. Don't know how this happened but the bus actually got there in the scheduled time. No mysterious breakdowns, no unnecessary stops. It was all good. I was glad I left ... read more

before we went to siem reap i saw a poster in the guesthouse for nature lodge in sen monorum and thought we'd be brave and try out this new hostel ignoring all the paranoid warnings of going to unknown places we got from watching the film Hostel the night before. (not a good choice while travelling!) we booked tickets up there for all of us but discovered the next day that yannick and chris had no more money and couldn't get any more moeny out that day because of card restrictions so they were left at the way side and our group was once more reduced to a meagre 3 and we pushed on. it was a 11 hour trip up, we broke down contiually ,it can't really be described as enjoyable but it wasn't as ... read more

After an entertaining border crossing we now arrived in Kratie, Cambodia. We hung around town long enough to see the rare Irawaddy Dolphins but then got the next pick up out of there and headed for Sen Monorom. The journey was memorable, to say the least. 2hrs in a cramped (or so we thought....) pick up, followed by a 2hr wait in the boiling midday sun, and then it was onwards for another 6 hrs on top of a different pick up (with 8 other unlucky souls) along a very bumpy dirt road. The fun really started when it started to rain..... The reward was worth it though and we spent 3 days in a beautiful spot in the middle of nowhere. Waterfalls to swim in, villages to explore and a great bunch of people to ... read more
