Didn't managed as much as we had originally intended as we had to get fit again first. So our day left was spent on a boat on the lake observing the Intha fishermen who row with their leg so their hands are free to cast their fishing nets. Quite impressive are also the floating gardens where mostly tomatoes are grown, walking on them is quite a strange sensation.

Because it has become such a popular destination for tourists, different visits to different workshops of traditional crafts are part of the programme. Of course a shop is attached to each workshop!!

Last but not least, a couple of monasteries round the trip and made it a very enjoyable day trip.

Next we headed to Mandalay. I on a bus... John on a plane! The roads in Burma are some of the best I've been on in South East Asia so that was actually a very pleasant trip with again lovely mountain scenery. It just took seven hours longer than on a plane!
