Dr.Floyd Smith witnessed the Armenian Genocide with his own eyes. In his account I learned that he was part of a class that was wealthy and had a lot of influence in the government just like Vahan. As we know from forgotten fire, we know that if you had some kind of influence in the government you will be either one of the first ones killed or you will be sent out of the city being one of the first men to be deported. Some important events that Dr.Floyd Smith did was that on June 24, 1915 they brought a large number of Armenians from Maltalia. As a doctor he was examinating the people and he stated that he was seeing lice on people, he saw them suffering with diseases that can kill anyone in any moment, and stated that these people haven't drank or ate because of they way that their faces looked like. In his account we learn as a doctor all of the injuries or sickness that these people had because he was treating them so that they can get better but still he saw how the Turks killed the Armenians and saw how a whole race was saying goodbye. http://www.armeniapedia.org/wiki/Floyd_Smith
