Well staying on a vineyard would normally be a massive thumbs up however I have to say the wine here is a little heavy for my delicate palate, nevertheless I have given it a go!! The accomodation is beautiful as are the surroundings, picture is from our front door. We are in the mountains and the average temp over the last few days has been 34, a bit toooooo hot! Anyway we have done a 10km hike in the foothills which was lovely although at times we had to fight our way through the bush and I have the scarred legs to prove it. Glad it was only 10km cos it was very hot. We drove over to the coast on Saturday to Paternosta, a small White washed resort with golden sands and turquoise seas. Spent the afternoon in a beach bar eating fresh fish, calamari and prawns and washed it down with the local cider (which is really quite nice). Being avid people watchers it was a great way to spend a lazy sat afternoon. Today we have driven upto a place called Clanwilliam which is in the middle of the Cederberg mountain range. The drive was spectacular, views unbelievable and the roads are so quiet it's really easy driving. We had planned on doing some walking however the weather is so hot it's would be too much like hard work. When I told Baz about the Cederberg Wilderness he wasn't much bothered by the possible confrontations with Baboons, Leopards, Lynx or honey badgers to name but a few but he went a little white at the mention of puff adders and spitting cobras. Probably just as well it was too hot to hike on that day! We are now back and am going to Skype family soon, it's Holly's 10th Birthday, have a great day chick, talk to you soon. Tomorrow we have a long drive to Knysna which is where we have an apartment for the rest of our stay in South Africa, looking forward to it. Bye for now.xx
