We love to travel and experience different places and particularly like to view and photograph the world's wonderful array of wildlife - and we are so so lucky to still be able to do so although a little slower these days. After retiring in 2010, we have travelled the world covering every continent as older generation nomads - hence our name Silvernomads. We have been really blessed to live out our retirement as we had always dreamed when we worked all those long years. We hope to meet you when you come to the United States. It is morning here so I have coffee in hand and ready to read. Love the Merrkat photos. I agree, no reason to jump off a perfectly good bridge. You've seen some amazing things and have taken wonderful photos. We never tire of seeing whales or any animal life. What a wonderful experience to be there during the Mandela remembrances. We love your style of writing and you make us want to be on the road again. It is a good thing we are about to have a couple of weeks off or else we'd have trouble finishing your blog. We will spend Christmas with family in Ohio and then head to Vienna Austria for the New Year. With the house rented hopefully your travels will continue and another blog is just around the corner. We don't like to hear the prediction that you won't be blogging for a while.

Hope that you had a lovely christmas with your family in Ohio and I am sure you will enjoy Austria in the New Year. We visited the country a few times when we lived in Berlin in the late 80s and always enjoyed our time there. Wow! it has all been quite breath-taking stuff,hasn\'t it? A great delight for us readers and an even greater one for you actually experiencing it... My travels have been far less extensive..more domestic really...MMM..Suffolk or South Africa and Dubai,subtle difference..nevertheless,equally beautiful for me,being with the kids in a superb log cabin and log fires...bliss.
