The Serengeti and Ngorogoro Crater is absolutely amazing - the best place for game viewing so far, but we are having trouble staying awake!! Narcolepsy has taken over all of us and as soon as the truck starts we're in cloud cuckoo land. After the Masai Mara we're are totally over wilderbeast, buffalos, gazelles and umpalas. Depending on how close they get we'll raise an eyebrow for a giraffe or elephant but will not actually get up on the seats and poke our heads out the window unless it's a lion (and don't waste our time with the lioness, it's got to be the male standing up and roaring) rhino, leopard or cheetah.

We were on an early morning game drive (cue more sleeping) and saw a lion eating his kill, and watched as the hyenas and vultures moved in, disgusting but car crash TV, you just had to watch. We also saw another hyena really close up to us licking blood off his chops in a watering hole. With all this blood and gore, I am definitely not as squeamish as I was a month ago!!
