Yep we are home 12-hours before planned ! We left Arusha, Shannon, and Bariki on.... let's see what day was that - oh yeah, Thursday afternoon. After a brunch with Bariki's parents, Shannon's boss Alice, and Bariki's brother Solo we were treated to some Maasai dancing by not only Bariki and Solo, but Mamma too. It was a great send off. We left Arusha for our overnight stay in Dar Es Saalam after a stop off in the exotic white sands of Zanzibar .... Eileen just wanted to sneek off the plane for a little beach time, but alas it was only a stop off of 15-minutes. Next morning at 7:25am.... Friday, which was yesterday but seems ages ago .... we caught our South African Air flight to Johnnesburg-South Africa....4-hour flight. A little more shopping (yes, Bariki...we shopped some more) and Castle beer drinking during our 8-hour layover, we were on our next flight to Washington DC-Dulles via Dakar-West Africa (17-hours). Now those keeping track, we started in Egypt-North Africa to Tanzania-East Africa to Johnnesburg-South Africa to Dakar-West Africa ---- yes, we did a complete circle of Africa....too funny....funny how airline flight miles work out. We arrived in Dulles about 6am Eastern time this morning with a scheduled 15-hour layover, but even after 21-hours of flight time and 10-hours of layover, we were smart enough to get on stand-by after going through customs. As luck would have it, we were able to get on the next scheduled flight (nearly 6-hrs) bringing us home just after 11am Pacific time. So after leaving Tanzania back on Friday morning, 27-hours of flight, 10-hours of layover, and five airports later, we arrived home Saturday morning....those numbers just doesn't add up :o) but we are sooooo glad to be home ! We definitely had a trip of a life time....pyramids, treated as royalty, safari, Maasai markets, waterfall hike, school visit, goat adventure, Maasai bomo overnight, and, and, and.... it was just great ! We can not wait to share even a fraction of the 6+ hours of video and 1,400+ photos with you .... well, maybe after we edit just a little. :o) It's good to be home. xoxoxo

I want to see!
You got to do a "general audience" screening of your video or you'll be having to run it numerous times! I know you need to decompress Eileen, well, maybe not You! But I would love to see and hear all about it when you're ready! I've been telling everyone about it and how jealous I am. It sounded wonderful. Thanks for sharing! Love ya, Kathy
