From our facebook post:

Robert smiles nervously, night before last, during our last night in Wildlife Camp, South Luangwa, Zambia......
We decided on a final splurge of going to dinner in the beautiful
Wildlife Camp restaurant. We walked from the campsite before it
got too dark and dangerous. We ordered wine, Victor and Joel brought
our meal and it was delicious as always. We had almost finished our
excellent meal when Robert looked up and noticed a very large elephant
was one meter (3 feet) away eating the tamarind fruit that the monkeys
had knocked to the ground! The staff had gone to pick up food for the
other two early guests at the kitchen, but when they came back Joel
expertly moved guests to a safe distance warning that the animal was
unpredictable and that elephants killed a number of people in the
villages are each year. When asked he said that this one was a very
old female maybe 70 years old and had been hanging around the last few
days, probably on her last set of molars and looking for soft food.
After chatting with Dora a driver drove us back to the campsite and we
arrived as a herd of elephants was sloshing across the river in the dark
below. Ovid the Watchman put his light on them for all to see, really
magic! If you like wildlife you should come to Wildlife Camp ! A
special thanks to all at Wildlife Camp who work very hard to keep
visitors safe and having a good experience. We really appreciate it!
