Rinos

Wed 28th
Up for 7.15 to go on a Bush walk to see the white rhinos. The reserve only has 2 left after 2 died of old age and 2 drowned in the river- Rhinos can't lift their heads above their shoulders so drown if fall into water. There was only 2 of us on the walk which was great. We got quite close to a giraffe as well as a dung beetle! We made a toothbrush out of a twig, saw the inside of a termite mound and learnt 2 cures for asthma- first drinking rhino pee or more favorable steaming a plant that smelt like heather. We finished the walk with a picnic by the river.
I spent the afternoon by the pool and in the evening we all went for dinner at a local restaurant which was really nice food.
