Last day in Tunis today before heading off down to El Jem, Gabes and then to Djerba! Taking our time to just wander around and shop in the Medina and take in the sights, sounds and smells of Tunis. Have really enjoyed the people and this place is such a mix of European and Arabic cultures and we are having fun making the Tunisians in the Medina guess our Nationality, mostly think we are Spanish, much to Iain's amusement, so we must go and shop!

On a day out shopping met Mr Rumdhune at shop Mohamed El Kefi on Zitouna in the Medina. It just so happens he is looking for an Australian wife! Any takers?

Highly recommended hotel "Dar El Medina". Great location in the heart of the old Medina, has loads of character. It was a former Bey's residence hidden behind its old doorway, you enter into the property which has 4 storeys - 12 rooms surrounding a lovely courtyard, includes a rooftop cafe and glorious views over Tunis.

Hola amigos!!
As you can tell, I'm following your trip. Sounds great. I love this website. When I first visited it, I got hooked and spent HOURS reading posts from places I have been and/or was interested in. I still can't believe there weren't even emails when I was out there. It makes me feel from the stone age!! Keep posting!! G
