Christmas in Zanzibar! Got picked up by a bush pilot, stopped at another airstrip to take aboard an English family and headed for Dar es Salaam airport for more passengers. Then off to the island of Zanzibar. Checked into the "Swahili House" hotel in Stone Town and went for a walk through the narrow alleyways of this historic quarter. Booked a snorkeling trip to Prison Island for tomorrow with receptionist Sheyla who found me a boat for $20. Christmas dinner and drinks with the staff on the empty rooftop of the "Swahili House" with a panoramic view of the harbor and Stone Town.

Weihnachten auf Sansibar! Wurde von einem der Buschpiloten abgeholt und flogen zu einem anderen Landeplatz um eine englische Familie noch mitzunehmen. Kurzer Zwischenstop in Dar es Salaam, um noch mehr Passagiere aufzunehmen und ab ging es zur Insel Sansibar. Angekommen checkte ich ein ins "Swahili House" Hotel in Stone Town und spazierte durch die engen Gassen der Altstadt. Buchte noch schnell einen Schnorcheltrip zum Prison Island. Wobei mir Sheyla von der Rezeption half ein Boot fuer $20 zu finden. Weihnachtsessen und Drinks mit den Angestellten auf der leeren Dachterasse des "Swahili House". Aber mit Panoramablick ueber den Hafen und Stone Town.
