We received word late last week that Imelda has passed away. She is no longer experiencing the chronic pain she described to us in detail.

On the day we visited her, Furgence and their family, the doctors realized her condition had worsened. They opted to put her on morphine. Less than three weeks later, she was gone.

The life she lived on this earth was far from easy, to say the very least...

I pray there is something better for her now.

A Follow-up to a Very Sad Story
May Imelda rest in peace! Let's hope and pray the video project you and Jane are working on will improve Tanzania's health care system so that others don't have to suffer like Imelda did.

Very sad story. At least she's no longer in pain.
