"Hii ni siku ambayo Bwana imefanya, mimi kufurahi na kushangilia ndani yake!" ("This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad in it.")
This morning, we were served fry bread with our team and it was yummy!!!
Then we headed out for the day.
Cindy Williams came with us. And a little old man, with a huge smile, came with us today. His name was Ellyrahema. The first Bible study we had was in a house that was approximately 12 ft. by 12 ft. and I am not joking. That was the entire house. A bed took up most of the house, and Mom, Katherine, Cindy, Paulina, myself, and the 4 inhabitants squeezed in a space that was about 4 ft. by 12 ft. I say inhabitants--there were David, and his wife Margaret, and their baby which sounded very sick, and Margaret's sister, Leah. They all live in that miniscule house. Then there was a neighbor, I suppose, named Calina.
The study was very, very good!!
We went to Angela & Sylvester's house, and about 10 kids followed us there. Mom held a study with them.
We went back
to MamaCarey's house, and studied some more.
Lunch, and then the seminars. Mom gave her lesson today. It was on Mary & Martha. I'm not sure how many were in attendance at the Men's and Women's Seminars. Probably around 35 (each). As for kids, we had 220!! We....didn't do the spider story today. Instead, we did the days of Creation. We still handed out our spider/jellyfish creations. 😱The kids were very well behaved! (Of course, it could be the fact that there were several ladies out there, with threatening switches. And that they kicked some of the older boys out.) It's strange....the kids here are extremely well behaved if we're singing songs, or talking, or sharing the lesson, or something. It's only when you give them things...especially snacks....that it becomes chaotic. Then, you want to pull your hair out....but you have to remember, they probably don't have much more than that to eat. 😞 The ladies who fix our lunch have huge 5 gallon buckets of rice. If there's any left over after the adults eat, they fill some plates up with rice and let about 10 kids share a plate.
Anyway, the lesson went very good!
And we had
2 baptisms today, I think! 😊
That night we went to eat at the Stafford's--chocolate cake! 😊
"You are my strength when I am weak,
You are the treasure that I seek,
You are my all in all
Seeking you as a precious jewel,
Lord to give up, I'd be a fool
You are my all in all.
Jesus, precious Lamb of God
Worthy is your name
Jesus, precious Lamb of God
Worthy is your name
Taking my sin, my cross, my shame
Rising again, I bless your name
You are my all in all
When I fall down, you pick me up
When I am dry, you fill my cup,
You are my all in all.
Jesus, precious Lamb of God
Worthy is your name
Jesus, precious Lamb of God
Worthy is your name
Worthy is your name."
