The flies are attracted to blue and these cloths are hung around the campsites to try and minimise their interaction with us humans

We woke up in the morning to see the ripped tarp and were told that an elephant came looking for a midnight snack, only clearing out when a ranger cocked his gun.

Early morning we picked up the permits and made our way down into the crater

These two walked straight towards our jeep where one of them scent marked our spare tyre!

After crossing the plains, he stopped and sniffed the air and made a beeline for our jeep again!

I hadn't thought hyenas were even remotely cute until I saw this youngster. On his own, he seemed a little lost with the rest of his family a few miles away
