Starting point: Reydon, Oklahoma
Destination: Kisongo, Tanzania, AFRICA!

After weeks of counting down, the day was finally here when we embarked upon our journey to Africa!!
We all arrived at the OKC airport Saturday morning and got our baggage checked and everything, and said goodbyes. Went through security, waited for what seemed like ages, then boarded a plane to Minneapolis/St. Paul. We arrived there around 2 PM, and had lunch.
Then we got on this bbbiiggg plane 😊 and flew across the ocean. We flew all night, during which I got no sleep, because certain persons who accompanied us to TZ were playing cards all night and were not exactly quiet. 😱
We arrived at Amsterdam, Holland, in the morning. I can't exactly tell you the hours, because we went through so many time changes. We finally got on the "big bird" and flew for 9 hours to Kilimanjaro. I was by myself for 9 hours, surrounded by people who spoke Dutch 😞 And we spent Independence Day in the air, and in two continents...neither of which was North America!
We finally arrived at Kilimanjaro airport! Climbed out of the plane, walked across the road to this teeny-tiny airport. It was...not hot! We amazingly got every piece of luggage, and loaded up in a huge bus. Ralph Williams, and his daughter Caitlin, who are visiting over here, and Cy Stafford, were there to greet us. We had a huge bus this time, and they strapped all our luggage on top of it. It took us about 1 1/2 hours to drive to Kisongo, which is where the ACSOP is.
That night, Stephanie Stafford had fixed us a snack, and we had a short devotional. Sharing my room was Mom, Stephani, and Lexi. We shared a bathroom with Leigh, Crystal, and Macey. At 1 o'clock, we, exhausted, crashed into our bunk beds!!
