Malindi is our new home

Dear Blog Travelers, We are now at our site a village malindi about 1.5 hrs. from Lushoto via dala dala and foot. Unfortunately this is also the closest internet so dont give up on us if you havent heard from us for awhile. This is also our banking town and mail delivery so we will make the trek...also supplies. You can get the address from Jenn. This is a cooler, mountain area which stays green year round and has an abundant supply of fresh fruits and veggies. We are nestled in one of many valleys where everyone farms. Our home is most comfortable as it is a new structure. Our cooking area is outside in a separate room as is the choo and bathing area. We do not have electricity, but can read and play cards by lantern light at night. The southern sky is beautiful at night as it is so dark. The people have been very friendly and welcoming to us. We have been to several village meetings and will go to the dispensary on Sat. for a mother/child clinic. We are doing just great and appreciate all the comments and support we have been getting. As we settled in more, there will be much more to relate to all of you backhome. Love, Dave and Wendy
