The Shabiby Bus The Shabiby Bus The Shabiby Bus

The bus from Dar es Salaam and Dodoma 7.5 hrs
We arrived in Dar es Salaam at about 2.00pm on Thursday 15th March having flown in from Johannesburg where I had been attending a Cards & Payment conference.

We were met at the airport by Pam who had flown in from Ethiopia 20 minutes earlier, God at work here. we arrived to a large welcome sign held by Pam and to the smiles of our driver Amani. We all stayed at the Blue Pearl hotel which was a bit up market, very modern & clean and close to the bus station.

The next morning Pam negotiated a taxi to take us to the bus station because although it was close there are no footpaths. On arrival at the bus station Pam negotiated with the porters to carry our luggage to the bus and she made sure that it was loaded underneath. Now we sit back and enjoy the 7+ hours on a made road to Dodoma. Thanks to God for organising Pam to be here for us, not sure how we would have coped without her.

Lunch on the way was different again Pam was there to advise what we should buy to eat, food that she new was safe.

We arrived in Dodoma late on Friday and we were met by Alex who drove us along what would become a familiar road to Msalato.

The next day Saturday 17th March we had a long walk around the college and experiencednew sights and sound that will stay with us forever.
