Well, today was basically a huge day of travel. We woke in Mkuze at 5.15am, and arrived in an isolated campsite in the Drakensberg (or Dragon Mountains) around 5.15pm. There was little excitement on the way, a few petrol stops and a picnic lunch at a park in Ladysberg.

Our accomodation here consisted of small bungalows, equipped with generator electricity (5pm-10pm) and a gas heater, stove and fridge.

Nat and I took a stroll down to the Lotheni River below our camp and enjoyed watching the sunset over the mountainside at dusk. Dinner was Impala skewers, mushrooms, peppers and sweet potato. We spent some time playing cards (Wippen) with Bert, Nela & Margaret.

After my 'almost' experience here two years ago, I was very excited at the prospect of hiking the next day.
