Decided to go into Koomatiport and try our luck with Vodacom data bundles since MTN is not working for us. Saw three rhino on our way out of the park. We also saw some giraffe necking as well as a giant eagle owl. Koomatiport is the easiest city to get to leaving the park. It is very close to the park and it is mainly fields of cane on the way to town and so it is easy in and out!

Did our shopping and were back in the park in time to fix lunch.

Went on afternoon drive and decided to head up toward Lubyelubye bridge and test our luck. There was a sighting jam and sure enough there were six lions strung out on the sand down in the river. One VERY big male lion. Nice way to end a day.

It's a family affair? Or is it? The Bateleur couple were preening each other, but the brown one kept his head looking straight down. And what was down there below, we could not see. The brown one was soooo intent. Vehicles kept stopping while I was craining my own head awkwardly and trying to get this picture. And you know what? It REALLY bothered us we could not sneak out into the thick bush and have a look !!!! :) :) Somewhere between the N'watimhiri Causeway Causeway and Lubye-Lubye Bridge. June, 2016
