This morning we treated ourselves to a little sleep-in, packed up our tent and left camp at about 8am for our game drive. The only animals that we could see from the campsite were three ostriches. From the main road we drove along Tsessebe Loop and along here we had an amazing sighting. There were three adult white rhinos on the road. Then two of them started to play fight. They held their heads low and knocked each other's horns for a few minutes. It was really gentle and amazing to see them from a few metres away. Once they finished play fighting, the three of them walked around eating grass.

We continued on and came across another great sighting. It was a couple of Dwarf Mongoose running around on a termite mound that they live in. This was the best ever sighting that I have had of Dwarf Mongoose and I love their brown coloured fur. We watched them for about ten minutes.

We crossed over the main road onto Tshungulu Drive and then back onto the main road and into the Big 5 area. We still did not see any big 5 animals in this area or any

sign of them. Instead we focused on the birds.

We took a slow drive back to the campsite for one last view of the busy waterhole. Here we saw warthogs, tseebees, ostriches, zebra and impalas. It was now time for us to leave Marakele and head back to Madikwe Game Reserve, as we had to go back to work tomorrow. The drive took us a couple of hours.
