Day 2
Off for an elephant experience and safari - it was based in a luxury golf and spa resort (with own airstrip!!!!) - I wonder what the R&A Rules say about having a Zebra on the fairway!!!!! The ‘Experience’ was getting up close and learning about half a dozen elephants - these would have been culled if not part of this park, but even so I had the nagging doubt that I was part of a circus. However, even my cynicism was blown away when the elephant was able to pick up 1 of 4 of our shoes and give it back to the correct person. Then it was an hours safari through the bush which was excellent - it seemed a lot more ‘real’ seeing giraffe/ zebra from the back of an elephant rather than a car.

Then I had to bomb up the motorway to check in before back to Polokwane to watch Fra v Mex - I wish I hadn’t rushed as the 1st half was dreadful, AND COLD ….. I had 2 shirts, a jumper and 2 fleeces and had but still froze. It wasn’t full so I found a more sheltered spot for an

Circus or conservation - the jury is out!!!!
enjoyable 2nd half - and the vuvuzela’s aren’t as loud as has been made out!!!!! Then back to another room without heating - see previous about having to wear my trackies and socks in bed, only add a hat this time

Lisa - I've seen more lions in the wild than on shirts!!! I am at the wrong end of the country at the moment, so there aren't any england fans around ...... we met a few yesterday at the fanpark (few being less than 10 - see the blog when I get a chance to do it) and we were all just apprehensive/ hopeful - and wondering why Joe Cole wasn't playing.
