After an early start we arrive at Buccaneersbackpackers in Cintsa. This backpackers takes up one side of Cintsa bay, overlooking a quiet lagoon and a lovely long quiet beach. The backpackers is made up of dorms and doubles as usual, and it has safari tents with double beds and family lodges that hold 10 and more. The trees and bush have grown up around the compound so from the beach you can only see a few roof tops but from all the windows there are perfect views sun filled beach and lagoon. A great little spot and I recomend anyone to check it out!!

Its too bad our first day is raining!! absolutly pissing down hard!! wont be getting home sick anyway...

It was a great day Tuesday, so Maeve and me go surfing, we start a 3 hour lesson at 9am. By the end we are both standing and we come in for lunch at 12 feeling pretty chuffed!
We head out in the afternoon again for some practice and do ok but are both fairly wrecked.

All the hard work surfing still didn't stop us playing some volley ball on the sand court down by the pool... There are wine activities every day at around 4, so the hostel coughs up 2 x 5l boxes of "premier grand cru wine" (thats actually what it says on the box, the cheek), then we play some sports. Today its volley ball, there are about 12 or so of us playing so the wine really helps evereyone get in to it. I have to say I had a ball and cant wait to play again. Luckly for me its volley ball again tomorrow.

The volley ball really kick started things on Wednesday and when I added my bottle of Jamie to the mix everyone went mad! Wayne eventually kicked everyone out the bar after 4am, thats more what I was expecting for a famed South African backpackers😊

That was our few days in Cintsa, we did lots of other stuff too but hey everyone has probably stopped reading by now anyway...

Ireland 39 - 9 Italy (what a boring game!)
