Hey guys,

Well after flying down the coast on SA's N2 Hwy which is a really nice road we arrived at Port Elizabeth. We were supposed to stay in Gramstown in a hostel that was actually an old prison but they were booked when we got there so we just pushed through to PE. Our decision to keep going was rewarded with one of the nicest hostels we've stayed in, much nicer than some old prison what the hell were we thinking😉

So our main adventure was Addo Elephant Nat'l Park which allowed us again to use the Roc-a-rolla as our safari vehicle. After almost an hour of driving we were going to rename the park Warthog National Park because all we saw were "Hakuna Matata's" as I've decided to call them and always sing the Lion King song for Tyne which she really loves. Anyways finally at the last watering hole we end up seeing every Elephant in the whole park! They were coming out of everywhere for some socializing and a drink so it was really good, not that I minded I love them little Hakuna Matata's!

The next day we headed out to Seaview Lion Park which offered another small self drive safari through their reserve and then you can walk through their Lion and Tiger rescue program. It was cool to see a full grown male Lion and we even got to see a lioness with a 5 day old cub! It was awesome unfortunately we couldn't get any really clear pics of it;( We were super excited because they had some 6 week old cubs you could pet and hold but since they hadn't received their vaccinations yet only small children were allowed!!! Talk about BS. So we watched one cub who was pretty playful while his brothers and sisters slept. Just a word of advice Lions and Tigers are just really large cats (duh, I know) so if you're going to see them in a reserve go in the morning or late afternoon because like every other cat I've ever seen at noon all they do is sleep! If anyone needs some sleeping cat pics let me know, I got lots😉

After the lions we drove down the Coast to Jeffrey's Bay otherwise know as J-Bay. J-Bay is one of the premier surfing spots in SA and home to another huge section of Factory Outlet stores for Quicksilver & Billabong, I was tempted to throw out all my clothes and re-stock but settled on some cheap shoes instead.

We also were going to miss the Billabong Pro J-Bay Competition, the biggest in SA by a couple of days. We did end up watching some surfing and those guys are awesome, I was going to show them my moves but the locals live by their motto "Don't live here..Don't surf here" so we moved on.

Until the next one take care

Cheers,
Matt & Tyne
