Niger

Niger is a country where the people are literally starving to death, it's so bad that out of 1000 new borns 262 will not make it to their fifth birthday. Technology as most of the world knows it is non existant, most of its people are nomadic herders and small farmers who have been devistated by drought. Crops cant grow and animals are dying with bellies full of sand. With such a lack of food starvation is the main killer, with thousands pouring into clinics for help. Since 2004 the number of children treated alone has doubled. In addition there is no educational system or government to even try to solve some of these issues. But what is making this famine even worse is that without education the population is set double creating more mouths to feed with a very limited food supply. The outlook for Niger isnt good as foriegn aid is slow to come and it has no economy to speak of.
