Since leaving Johannesburg we have been travelling northward, but today on the longest drive of the journey at just over 400k we started to move south west towards our final destination, Cape Town.

For the first 250k we passed through many villages constructed of the thatched roundel houses. And as it was a Sunday a lot of the inhabitants had donned their best clothes and were walking to church either in a small building or sat in a circle under the shade of a tree. However for the remainder of the journey the population became much sparser and we travelled through large uninhabited areas.

We stayed at Roy’s Rest Camp in a very remote location.
