We were up just before the sun rose and the moon was so bright it might has well have been day. We were up and off at day break and were spoiled in seeing Lion, Rhino, Jackal, Ostrich, Giraffe, Oryx, Hartebeest, Zebra and many different birds.

The Etosha pan is huge and very very hot. Even though it looks dry as a bone there is still water about so the animals tend to be out and about rather than at waterholes, however we were lucky and had a great morning. The only disappointment was that the further we headed West the less wildlife we saw, but we cannot complain the landscape is stunning and we were having great fun.

We headed to our campsite early afternoon for a few hours quite time (amazingly it has a pool even though we are in the middle of nowhere). We plan to go out again tonight as the heat drops to see what else we can see.

Enjoy the photos but unfortunately we saw the 3 lions at a distance of about 100m so no meaningful photos i'm afraid
