To add to our second best canyon tour (seeing the second deepest in Peru) we visited the second largest canyon in the world. But to break with tradition it does win a first for something... apparently the oldest canyon 2160 million years old.
Hi all

We're just about to head out of Namibia into Botswana.

For a place that we weren't going to see it has been amazing. Huge stretches of open lands full of incredibly beautiful landscapes and amazing sunsets every night.

Oh and did we mention the animals ... we've seen everything from chipmunks to cheetahs to lions 😊
Just need to find some elephants and rhinos now.

We've got 2 days camping in the bush coming up .. but as seasoned campers now it'll be a piece of cake ....hopefully!

Sorry we have to run and catch a bus now so no time for animal photos..... we'll have to save that for the Wildlife Photography of the Year competiton in London, you'll all get invites 😊

Climbing the Dunes

We had a morning run up a sand dune to watch the sunrise. For those who have never climbed a mountain of sand, is it hard work.... our calf muscles are still burning! Nice sunrise though and awesome run down!

This is a little Himba tribe kiddie who wanted to climb up on me. They love to cover themselves in red earth and hence this little rug rat managed to smother me in red. Very cute kids though.

That photo looks almost too perfect, like you are standing in front of a painting. Beautiful.
