Tuesday 11th February
We slept well after our day of travelling and awoke early to beautiful blue skies.
Enjoyed a coffee sitting on the balcony listening to the surf has it slowly rolled onto the shore.
A couple of horses cantered along the beach, no doubt those tourists were up early to enjoy the freedom to ride along the shoreline.
Yesterday the staff who escorted us to our room could see that it was a bit of a struggle for Mr. M being so far away from the main hotel facilities plus the two flights of stairs at the end of it. They asked if we would like to change rooms but we were both tired and said let’s see how we feel in the morning.
The room itself was not a problem just the location at the very far end of the property, we set off for breakfast just to see how we would get on but when we reached the reception area the staff came up to us having remembered us and offered another room on ground level and closer to the facilities.
could not have been more helpful, we had to wait until previous guests had checked out but once the room had been serviced and made ready for us there was one very happy Mr.M & me of course.
The new room is much the same layout as the original room but with the addition of two items a small sofa (very nice) and bathroom scales (maybe not such a good idea).
We have had a few showers today, mostly fine cloud bursts which last about 5 minutes and within a further 5 minutes the pathways etc are dry.
Feeling more settled now to explore the hotel and all it has to offer.
